Meet The Team

Here we have a bit of fun and share a little bit about our fantastic team members – their hobbies, interests and what they did before they joined the CMM family.

Moira Richardson

Moira Richardson

Customer Services Support Analyst

Moira has been with CMM for just over 6 years, starting on the CMM Customer Support desk. Prior to this she worked with the NHS for several years at NHS Ayrshire & Arran and NHS England. Moira’s ability to build rapport with our clients to help achieve great customer service led her to train to become one of our Customer Services Support Analysts, and she can now often be found out and about at our customers’ premises delivering training (Covid allowing), or answering queries on our Support Desk.

Moira has also introduced a social committee to the CMM team, and we now have the CMM Golf (not surprising seeing as she hails from Troon), Pool and Ten-Pin mini-tournaments. In total the CMM team has raised a phenomenal £2,500 for local charities through these efforts.

Knitting keeps Moira busy in the evenings and she regular donates premature baby clothes to our local Neonatal Unit here at Basildon, as well as knitting traffic light hats for NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s maternity unit, her ‘home’ Trust. At the weekend, her husband controls the TV, so she has ‘developed’ a liking for most sports including the Grand Prix and horse racing, however being a true Scot, cricket is still forbidden in the Richardson household.

Craig Rothwell

Craig Rothwell

Senior Customer Account Manager

Craig brought Account Management to CMM back in 2012; he was previously at Orion Health and Sunquest in a similar role.
Back in the 80’s, he was a Cache programmer, then moved to the NHS in the 90’s as Pathology/Radiology System Manager at (as it was known then) Oldham NHS Trust.
He is married to Debbie, whom he met at school, and they celebrate their 35th Wedding anniversary in 2022; he is Papa to his two grandkids aged 4 & 1.
He likes a bit of technology, though you won’t find him on Social Media (is he too old to understand it?). BUT, you will find the local weather in his garden from his own weather station! He has numerous google home systems around his house controlling over 40 devices (Geek!)
His hobbies including walking (he lives on the edge of the peak district), home beer/wine making and travelling.
It may also be a shock that Craig has a number of tattoo’s, all related to things close to his heart. His right arm has his family tree from Debbie down to his grandkids... His left arm has the cross guitar’s of Status Quo (he has seen them over 70 times live since ’77) and the Bacardi Bat…
Since March 2020, he has explored new hobbies including Astronomy, Darts and old ones (from 40 years ago) in railway modelling, he says its for his grandkids...

He enjoys listening to music, reading and hiking - he has completed several long distance paths and is currently walking the coast of Britain in stages.

He likes to keep in shape(!) by playing sports - snooker, pool and darts.

Elizabeth Baker

Elizabeth Baker

Prior to this she was studying Accounting & Finance at Anglia Ruskin Chelmsford University of which she got a 2.1 BSc Degree. Whilst at CMM, Elizabeth has continued her ACCA qualification attending study classes at First Intuition and is now an ACCA qualified accountant.

Elizabeth has been with her partner Sam since ’17 - they went to the same school as each other and now they are engaged. They now have an 11 month old baby girl together named Marnie (she will be 1 in end of October).

Outside of work her biggest hobby is horse riding. She loves animals and currently has 3 horses, 1 dog, 1 puppy, a rabbit and a pet ferret, loads of Koi fish, and indoor tanks housing toads, guppy fish and more! In any spare time she has, she enjoys eating out, having drinks out with friends and going to baby days out with Marnie such as farm parks & soft play.

Alan Mutton

Alan Mutton

Marketing Manager

Alan is the Marketing and Multimedia Specialist here at CMM. Having done Marketing his entire working life and achieving a 1:1 degree in the subject at Kingston University, he has found putting his learning into practice at CMM a great experience. For one thing, he brought social media to CMM back in 2018; It has proven a great platform to show off what our fantastic customers are doing with our medicines management solutions. As well as social, Alan has brought some design and video expertise in-house from his experience in advertising agencies.

In his spare time, he is in the gym doing powerlifting with his fiancée Annabelle (and he’s currently dabbling in the dark arts of weightlifting too…) or playing baseball with our local team the Essex Redbacks. He clearly loves to keep fit – as long as that means moving heavy weights for a maximum of 5 reps and sprinting a maximum of 90 yards at a time on the diamond…

Other than that, He is probably playing on my PS5 with friends or walking his cat around on his harness (don’t ask…).

Paula also enjoys walks and photography and plans to spend some more time on this as the summer months approach. Paula enjoys a variety of music genres and is thoroughly enjoying the fact that songs from her younger years are making a comeback, even if they are revamped !

Helen Mutton

Helen Mutton

Head of Programme

Helen is a Pharmacy technician who has been with CMM for 15 years. (although she feels sure she has been saying that for the last 15years).

She started in Boots the chemist as a chemist counter assistant at age 18 and found she was fascinated by the grandeur associated with the important work that was going on up the two little steps in the pharmacy.

From there she had found her calling - not so much with the pills and potions, but she loved the computer software she used. It started as a label system and and eventually it could endorse the FP10 for you.

Eventually, she took a job in Goodmayes Hospital as Supervisor of what was called ‘The Pill Box’ - at the time trail blazing the now popular outsourcing that’s done with outpatient pharmacy in many hospitals. Then finally a house move saw her take a locum role at the Princess royal hospital in Farnborough and she was introduced to CMM (JAC at the time).

She helped train staff on the upgrade from the DOS to Windows version and loved every second of that. When a role was advertised in the chemist and druggist for a CMM trainer, she was sure the advert was written for her.

Her career went: Customer Services - Project Manager - Senior Project Manager - Programme Manager and Head of Programme. She loves change and loves the NHS and the improvements and work life balance that introducing our product to hospitals can bring. She has a team of great project managers and together she delivers a service that she is proud of.

In her spare time she loves spending time with her family and travelling; but if she gets a chance, then a weekend PlayStation session is a real indulgence!

Gary Rouse

Gary Rouse

Regional Sales Manager

Gary joined CMM in November 2021 as Regional Sales Manager. With a Computer Science degree and an MBA from Aston University under his wing, he has spent the last 17 years in healthcare technology, leading field-based service delivery and commercial account management teams across primary care clinical system, shared care record and interoperability platform providers.

Married in 2004 to his wife Preeti, they are both kept in check by their 7-year-old daughter, Hazel. With family spread across East Anglia, India and Tanzania, travel is always on the cards (from boating on the Norfolk Broads, to camping with the wildlife along the Rufiji River). Gary believes in giving everything a try (at least once), unfortunately that does include eating a squirrel (only once), all the way to taking some aerobatic flying lessons in a Pitts Special biplane. The rest of his time gets spent on large Lego builds (yes it’s for adults too), photography, gardening and most recent to the list, learning to play piano with Hazel.

Phil Walsham

Phil Walsham

Service Desk Manager

Phil joined CMM (or JAC as we were called then) in Oct 2002 on a 3-month contract as a temporary file builder to work on a drug file build – nearly 20 years later he’s still with us (although not still on the same 3-month contract). He is now the Service Desk Manager at CMM.

Phil worked through a series of careers in his younger years – Coffee roaster, Window fitter, Fork-lift truck driver, Barman, Network Manager, etc., but finally found his calling in Customer Services.

He is married to Claire – they were introduced by a mutual friend, got engaged at the centre of the hedge maze in Longleat and were married by the Captain on a cruise to Norway in 2013.

He loves games, and either writing or participating in quizzes; and has held several quiz evenings in the CMM office. Phil and Claire often complete quiz trails around London, discovering new areas of London to explore.

He also enjoys escape rooms, and is good friends with owners of The Panic Room, who have rooms in Gravesend, Harlow and Niagara Falls, NY – Phil is a regular tester for new rooms. Along with his wife and close friends, he has completed over 50 different escape rooms in the UK, Europe, Canada and the USA. He’s was even interviewed for a section on the One Show, talking about escape rooms.

Phil enjoys travelling and planning road trips (having completed two epic trips from New York to Orlando and Chicago to Boston). He is keen on most sports including skiing, SUP, he owns a Sjoelen/Sjoebak board (Dutch shuffleboard game), plays football, golf, badminton and pool, to name a few.

Andrew McKenzie

Andrew McKenzie

Senior Project Manager

Andrew considers himself to be private, but he does enjoy his adventures with his girlfriend and mates.

He has been with the company for 10 years now, joining in the JAC years with Andy and the SPR forms.

Andy followed Craig from Sunquest as a Support Manager and has previously worked for NHS, Zurich, PwC, Anglia Healthcare System amongst others.

He loves playing football, mountain biking in flat Norfolk and even attempts golf on occasion!

Being a season ticket holder at Norwich City for a few years means he accepts the ups and downs of life.

Andy also watches F1 and makes holiday trips to races around Europe when possible. He loves cars and motorsport in all forms and has visited some interesting car factories for work in Russia and Eastern Europe.

His travel claim to fame is that he got caught up and stuck in Dallas, USA for a week when the Icelandic volcano erupted.

Lucy Darwin

Lucy Darwin

Project Manager

Lucy started working in projects in the NHS in her local Health Board Betsi Cadwaladr, focusing on projects in acute hospitals and community.

She worked for NHS Wales/DHCW as Business Change/Project Manager rolling out CMM Pharmacy in all acute hospitals.

Lucy joined CMM in March 2022 as a Project Manager for maternity cover but has quickly proven herself an asset to the team and has now become a fully-fledged member of the CMM family.

In her spare time, Lucy loves going for walks with her ‘Jackahuahua’ Miles. She also started trying to grow own fruit and veg during lockdown but has continued this hobby and now fancies herself a proper gardener!

She also loves ravelling and has orrganised and lead three endurance cycling challenges to raise money for charity. She has even cycled from Leeds to Berlin, Leeds to Prague and Leeds to Barcelona!

Aside from staying active, Lucy likes art and enjoys painting with palette knifes.

Joe Peck

Joe Peck

Finance Manager

Joe started with the company 10 years ago as an 18 year old apprentice. He developed with the company and achieved all of his professional accounting qualifications (AAT first, then ACCA). Joe then took on the Finance Manager role at the start of the year, following Denise’s retirement.

During his time with the company, Joe has moved out from home, become a married man and a father (2nd baby arriving very soon!)

When Joe finds a minute of spare time, he can usually be found in the theatre. Either watching a show or directing shows with a youth theatre company he is involved with. Joe also enjoys “treading the boards” himself, having previously performed roles such as Fagin, Captain Hook and Seymore from Little Shop of Horrors. However, he has taken a temporary break from performing, as it’s hard to find the time with so much going on!!

Joe lives for holidays… especially cruises. Joe has cruised the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Norwegian Fjords and South Pacific so far, with lots more on the bucket list! The furthest he has been is Sydney, but he also enjoys proper seaside holidays at home!

Joe is an Ice Hockey fan, supporting both the New York Rangers in the NHL and the Romford Raiders in the English league. Unfortunately, due to the time difference, he is rarely able to watch the NHL games live, but can regularly be found in the stands cheering on the local team on a Sunday evening. One day he WILL get tickets to watch the Rangers at Maddison Square Gardens!!
